John's been gone 25 years!

You may find the material on this website interesting on several levels ... the life and music of Lennon, as well as his death at the hands of Mark David Chapman. This website contains considerable material (some of which may be controversial) that supports the view that Chapman may NOT have been a "deranged fan" but rather someone set-up to assassinate Lennon. Is this just another conspiracy theory? ... or is there some substance to it? How about leaving a few Comments? BTW, the link to the www.john-lennon.com website appears related to the Lovearth Network sites of Mark R. Elsis of MyCountryRightOrWrong fame. If you are interested in pursuing some of these other sites, go to: http://www.lovearth.net/ You will NOT find any of these sites pro-Bush! In fact there is plenty of Bush villification to go round here! Anyway, give John a moment of silence and thought sometime today ...

I'm sure that he was assassinated. I don't like to see anyone get shot, but in spite of what he "might have given us," a man who says "A lie told often enough becomes truth" & "One man with a gun can control 100 without one" & that he's "more popular than Jesus," is asking for it.

Probably as long as humans have been on earth, they have told of a god-man who was born of a virgin, died a sacrificial death, and was buried in a rock tomb, Women mourned his death and found him risen on the third day. The faithful used the symbol of the cross, worshiped on Sun-day, first day of the week, and had a communion ritual of eating bread and wine to represent the body and blood of the god-man. The name changed over time- Osiris, Mithra, Adonis, Dionysius, and now Jesus, This scenario fills a need of our psyche and is part of the common consciousness. It is a truth-not “a lie told too many times!” “Most people "can't handle” the REAL truths” because we tend to think we are right and others wrong. We are intolerant of the unwashed for their own good. Religious zealots and scientists, rocket or otherwise, tout their own particular bias as the "truth."
There is one God, but She can appear in many manifestations. She is within us and everywhere. She does not give one truth to any sect or discipline and She can’t be enclosed in any religious book or tradition or a scientist’s laboratory.

Happy Holidays, and I’m going out on a limb here, Merry Christmas.

I pretty well agree with Watwood except when it comes to Catholics. They are a political perverted sect created by earthly kings-not God.
I think this is a true story:

The final test was for priests about to be ordained is to have them line up in row nude, in a garden while a sexy, nude model dancees before them. Each priest has a small bell attached to his privates. Anyone whose bell rings while she danced has not reached a state of spiritual purity required to be ordained.

Recently 12 priests took the test. The beautiful model danced before the first candidate, proceeded down the line with with no reaction until
she got to Carlos. Poor Carlos. As she danced, his bell rang loudly and flew off, clattering across the ground landing in nearby foliage.

Embarrassed, Carlos quickly scrambled to where the bell came to rest. He bent over to pick it up......

Just then, all the other bells started to ring!

He also said religion is spiritual oppression "a kind of spiritual gin in which the slaves of capital drown their human shape and their claims to any decent human life."
He may not have believed in Hell then, but he for sure does now. I hope he's enjoying it.

Some of you are confusing Vladimir Lenin with John Lennon. You also seem to confuse a vindictive, jealous, petty god with Jesus. Jesus, whether divine or not, told the truth and lived his own life, even if it meant an early death, as did John Lennon. Jesus was an example to be emulated, but to many has become an idol to be worshiped. I'm sure he's proud of John Lennon if he's alive, and rolling over in his grave at the things that are done and said in his name if he is not.
