Don't Confuse Michael Fischer With Hank Williams Jr. Being a Mean Spirited Racist is a Family Tradition for Some, But Not Hank Jr. His Daddy Saw the Light.

Some people think Hank Williams Jr. did The Great Reneger. He did not.  It was done by little known Michael Fischer playing to his Tea Bagger, KKK base.
When I was a kid college football teams were segregated in the South.  Some genius thought it was clever to say that when the teams from up North substituted the were “Reniging.” My guess is that the idea for The Great Reneger, came from that or similar “jokes.”
I’m posting it here hoping people will wake up to what’s going on. NOTE, the political views expressed are shared by others.  The point is the “N” word.  Still, Fischer has his facts wrong too.  Ken said, it well: “It was Bush hired lobbyists to work in his administration. Obama has not. Bush withheld the list people visiting the White House. Obama has not. Bush kept people in secret prisons, tortured them, and denied them access to attorneys or a neutral court. Obama has not. And almost all of the health care debate was, in fact, on C-Span. The entire song was implications that Obama reneged on his promises of transparency. Note, there was not one fact presented to back up that implication. Not one. However, I am glad to see that the song writer is so opposed to the legacy of the Bush Administration's opaqueness and secrecy and so eager (although ignorant) to hold Obama to a higher standard of transparency.”  Here it is, wrong facts, hatred,  racism and all.

To undo the damage done the real Hank Jr.'s reputation, I honor him.

Here's the "live & let live" Hank.

Here's the caring, loving loyal Hank who wanted to “spit some Beechnut” in the eye of the dude who had knifed Hank's friend and then “shoot him with [his] old .45."  It didn't even matter to Hank that his friend was a Yankee from New York City.

The Hank who honored his family.

Last, but not least, and perhaps most importantly the Hank who got us revved up every Monday night for FOOTBAW!

If there's one thing I can't abide, it's an ethnocentric racist;
Now you take back that thing you said about Aristitle Onayssis.

This is Michael Fischer, the guy you are accusing of being a racist. You don't know me for one thing. We have nearly 4 million views on "The Great Reneger" and 95% of the folks love the song. Yes, there are some racist people like yourself who can hear a perfectly good English word and the first thing that pops into their very narrow mind is the "N" word. You sir are the racist and if you are honest with yourself you probably have a deep hatred for blacks. I spent over 30 years doing mission work, 24 of those overseas, and I worked with people of all colors and creeds. You might try checking into your facts before you start accusing others of the very sin you yourself are guilty of. You sound like the Devil himself.

Mike:
I too have been in a missionary position. I learned that pushing my views on the "ignorant" is the ultimate in arrogance. I also learned that nitpickery and parsing words may please political comrades, but it does not fool the the Divine.
I love you and pray that you will repent and that you will be redeemed.

Yes, I have NO doubt that Virg n Mary have been in the missionary position many times! ;>) But, seriously, this Mike Fischer does NOT deserve the time spent on him! He thinks of himself as a nice, Christian guy, just telling the truth ... of which he clearly has NO concept! He and his Tea Bagger friends wrap themselves in the American flag, and spew hatred like we haven't seen in many years! Talk about "Transparency" ... he's VERY "Transparent"! Nothing could be clearer! There is NO redeeming social value here! You are being too kind, Mary!

Isn't it funny how racists always claim that some of their best friends are black. Orv is right. Save us from the Tea Baggers and the Mike Fischers of this world.
