Yes, I believe those might have been the days....yet as John said, the "big companies came and took it all away".....just like they did in that little town of Paris; all the way into the millinium year when Royal Oak sent the little people packing and shut down the little diversified company that had their own coal company and mined it themselves over at Coal Hill.....that's charcoal briquettes to you young folks and today me and the mr. prefer gas cuz we boycott any of those briquettes!
Yes, "Hunt" and "Hunt Town" are one in the same.....natives of Hunt Town know it as just "Hunt Town". Some smartass came in there and put up a sign one day and forgot to put up the word "Town" and from then on, some people got confused! Especially those from the wrong side of the county line or freeway.....it's north of the freeway and Hunt Townians went to school at Hartman and were vicious to the Coal Hill Wampus Cats! Big Rival!

E.L. can identify with Peabody Coal Company, they hauled Hunt away but Tyson has brought it back.
My folks always talked about "Hunt Town." Is that the same place?
I've been to both places and it's dark as a dungeon way down in them mines.
