"A Man Is Only as Old as the Woman He Feels." Edwin Edwards "It's Faster Horses, Younger Women, Older Whiskey, More Money. Tom T. Hall

Former Louisiana governor Edwin Edwards recently completed his federal racketeering sentence.
“Edwards, 83, attended a dinner with his 32-year-old fiancee and, though he plans a full press conference later this month, he was ready with quips for reporters.
Edwards, on whether he plans to get involved in the fall election campaigns: ‘If I have a particular enemy running for something, I might endorse him just to destroy his chances.’
On whether the 83-year-old retiree can keep up with his new fiancé, who is 51 years his junior: ‘A man is only as old as the woman he feels.’”
Edwin Edwards: Still spicy at 83 by Max Brantley, Arkansas Blog

In 1991 Edwin Edwards, beat Republican and Ku Klux Klansman David Duke to become governor of Louisiana.  Duke had beaten incumbent Republican governor Buddy Roemer to get to the runoff.  Now both Roemer and Duke are talking about running for president.  Edwin would still be better than either of those two.  Tom T. would be better yet.
