"If 'ifs' and 'buts' were candy and nuts, wouldn't it be a Merry Christmas?" 'Dandy Don' Meredith (1938-2010)

Christmas won't be as merry without you Don.  Thanks for the laughs. I got to see you play in 1958 I think.  You were a pretty fair country football player too.  Thanks for the thrills.

Could not resist. Mack l and I finally got a few hours off in Italy/Suzie and Roberta had 2 books underlined so we went to 19 different locations in 13 days. We finally got back to Rome and had a few hours off and grabbed my computer and headed for the bar next to the hotel to see what was going on back home and to have a few.
About 1 hour into it comes in a lady that you could tell was a real looker back in the day and she sits down one little table away with her little dog. Gets a drink and asks us where we are from. She says she is from Baytown Texas I think but has been living in Italy from 30 years and divorced her Italian husand and now is married to a Swiss guy who is older than she and who is being a bad boy and he is off with some 34 year old and he is 83 and obviously rich. Mack and I are being a little reserved about what we ask but somehow in the conversation it comes out she use to be a model.
In come Suzie and Roberta and you can imagine. Suzie jumps right into the middle of the conversation(imagine that) and I tell her whatever her name here use to be a model but is from Texas. Suzie obviously has to ask well what is your name again cause we will look you up on the Web.
She, the lady looks, away a little and she says well you will be shocked. How come- because I was a playboy centerfold in l974.
Two days later same place just me and Mack and she tells us about traveling about with Hef and being some where with football players and you know who was a "bad boy".
And you know who.
