The Church of Rome has a despicable record with its treatment of women except for the veneration of Mary, and then it tries to contort her into a virgin. Nuns have it rough. A large percentage have sexual trauma in their past and the Church is of little help. It does not even support them financially as it does priests, even in retirement.
