Buddy Holly and the Crickettes.

Buddy Holly (pictured here) and the Crickettes (pictured on either side of Buddy) were originally from Rogers, Arkansas. The Crickettes were his original back up group.  Things were slow at first and they dumped Buddy to sing with Diana Ross.  Buddy was devastated.  In his grief, he used the homonym "Crickets" as the name for his new group.  Shortly thereafter, Diana dumped the Crickettes for new backup singers of her own.  The rest is history.  Buddy and Diana thrived. After a few stints on The Lawrence Welk Show, the Crickettes faded into obscurity.

Virg, interesting to see you're branching out into something other than leftwing attacks all the time. Course, given what's happening to the country with Obama and his myrmidons, that was a smart marketing move I'd say--change the subject, or rather ignore the reality.
